The Rockers ERASED WWF Tag Title Victory

The match was taped for the NBC broadcast of Main Event and fans were supposed to witness The Rockers become tag team champions after a hard-fought match with the Harts. During the match a ring rope completely broke and it wasn't fixed until after the 2nd fall, meaning the 2 teams had to wrestle inside a broken ring for a fair portion of the match. The Rockers still defeated The Hart Foundation as planned and Shawn & Marty left the arena with the tag titles. However, Vince McMahon decided that the match wouldn't air on The Main Event due to how bad it was. The Rockers would hand back their tag team titles and the WWF acted like the match never happened in the first place. The Rockers vs The Hart Foundation didn't air, and The Rockers never did become tag champions. This video looks at the match and some theories that were thrown around in regards to McMahon's ultimate decision to erase the tag title victory from the record books.
