Director Teja, once known for his fresh and innovative romantic films such as Chitram and Jayam, appears to be stuck in a time warp with his latest film Ahimsa. The film suffers from a lack of evolution and fails to resonate with the contemporary audience. Teja's characters in Ahimsa dress, speak, and behave in a manner reminiscent of his early films from the early 2000s. This dated approach fails to connect with the current generation of viewers, who are looking for more relatable and modern storytelling. The narrative itself feels trapped in a bygone era, making the viewing experience tiresome and uninspiring. While there are moments in Ahimsa where one hopes for a shift in momentum and an injection of interest, unfortunately, the film fails to deliver on these expectations.
