Definetly low budget but It has more than one laugh out loud moments! We really liked it and added it our Halloween movie line up! Go ahead and check this one out, you won't be disapponted!

Sure, it is the continuation of Troll 2. Yes, it is slapstick. Sure, with the german crew it feels like one of those Uwe Boll Tax Evasion Scemes. But the script is mostly coherent if random, Mr. Hospitality is back, has fairy-tale visuals (what helps), and It perfectly is what it wants to be. It is not competent enough to feel it tries to be so-bad-its-good, but it is not as incompetent as to not feel the improvement. Now Charlie... Charlie was bad. But you know who was good? Ms. Altig. And I want to know why was this made. Let's go look up some interviews!

I bought this movie on DVD because it advertised itself as "the German Troll 2 hommage" and I love Troll 2 (in that trash movie loving kind of way). But hown damn, "Trolls World" is just unwatchable. Every sentence tries to be a quippy joke or a pun, everything is exaggerated, there are no characters, structure, anything. The only thing this movie has in common with Troll 2 is that a) it has "Troll" in its name and b) there were a few scenes with a troll puppet. This is not a remake, sequel or prequel, it's just CGI garbage filmed at night in the woods. Don't waste your time, watch the "original" instead.

Sure, I wasn't really expecting much from the 2020 movie titled "Trolls World" (aka "Under ConTroll"). Why? Well, given the movie's synopsis and the cover for the movie. But still, my passion for movies brought me to sit down to watch the movie from writers Simon Hauschild, Eric Dean Hordes and Alexander König. After all, it was a new movie and one I hadn't already seen. So of course I gave the movie a chance. And color me impressed, the movie wasn't as bad as it potentially could have been. Now, I am not saying that I am was blown away or amazed with the outcome of the movie. But it was a watchable and enjoyable enough movie for what it turned out to be. It was the 1980s feel to the movie that really worked in favor of the movie's enjoyment and entertainment value. So director Eric Dean Hordes definitely managed to do something good with the storyline and script. Sure, the storyline itself was pretty straight forward, even for a movie such as this turned out. But it was just oddly enjoyable still. The acting in the movie was good enough, although I was unfortunate to sit through a dubbed version. That was just abysmal, as I loathe dubbed movies. It would have been a more enjoyable movie experience if it was just presented in its original German language. Dubbing work is always dubious. It should be said that the character gallery in "Trolls World" was actually fun; lots of offbeat and quirky characters. As for the effects in "Trolls World", well they were there and they served their purposes well enough. Just don't go expecting to be blown away by an impressive array of special effects and CGI. All in all, "Trolls World" is a campy and cheesy comedy fantasy horror flick. Somewhat of a guilty pleasure actually. I enjoyed the movie for what it turned out to be, and if you have the time, then you should sit down to watch it, especially if you enjoyed they glorious mid 1980s horror movies. My rating for "Trolls World" actually lands on a six out of ten stars. I found the movie oddly enjoyable and cheesy enough to actually make it worth watching.

I am a huge fan of the original Troll 2 and therefore I met the news that a sequel had finally been released with heavily mixed feelings. I was delighted to view the output, had I bet I would have lost because this was enjoyable against all the odds! I had a pleasant time and ended up laughing out loud a quite a few times. The link between this and the first move is quite loose, but hardcore fans like myself will spot plenty of references to the original product to their delight, on top of George Hardy's return in the same role. König was somehow able to accomplish the impossible job to produce an enjoyable sequel to the once labelled 'worst movie in history.' The only observation would be that obviously this was produced meant to be bad unlike the first one which was unconsciously terrible, so that element of charm was lost but it would have been impossible to reproduce. As spectacular as it could possibly be, definitely hitting the 'to bad is good' bullseye!

I decided to watch this movie because it's a successor to the great good bad movie that is Trolls 2 but it fell so flat. This movie tried to be a good-bad movie on purpose and I think that because they tried to be that, it failed miserably. I never once laughed while watching and it's supposed to be a "comedy." The only redeeming quality about this "film" is that George Hardy reprised his role of Micheal Waits from Trolls 2, saying some of his classic good-bad phrases. This film also had out of sync mouth movements with the audio. I'm not sure if this was intentional or if it happened because of my wifi or something going on with Tubi, but regardless it was so grating on the eyes and ears. My ears died the moment the actors kept over-acting every line they had. Clearly this film wasn't for me but fans of Troll 2 should look forward to seeing George Hardy and possibly making new memes out of this atrocious film.
