Finally, a new holiday movie that isn't following the too-sweet model of most. This is some wild fun - fall of your chair, "stop the movie while I dry my eyes" hilarious. "Karen" is real, a Karen you love to hate. We all know the basic storyline, but she is so good at being despicable that I couldn't see how it could possibly work - and yet, it did, and more. The situations, backgrounds of the Karen, sets, even costumes: it's all very well done. Add the special effects and the fresh comedy and it's a film we will watch over and over. No spoilers here: this movie is anything but predictable.

This movie was a holiday surprise. It was laugh out loud funny and had a modern twist to an old classic. "Karen" was very relatable and portrayed that role well. Good casting, excellent script and directing. This is worth your time watching, a new Christmas tradition for our family. There were some touching elements to the story, definitely a story written about inclusion. Fun for all ages! This is one you can watch over and over again. A unique and fresh take on the ghost of Christmas past, present and future. Good special effects, excellent costumes and scenes. Jon Binkowski did a fabulous job!

This Karen started out mean as can be, asking for the manager, offending every known minority, picking fights with cashiers, baristas and just about anyone she encounters (and your little dog too!). Enter the three Christmas Ghosts with their magical intervention, and a brand new Karen arrives just in time for Christmas Morning! If you're looking for a very timely Christmas Carol, look no further and enjoy this updated version of Charles Dickens' Masterpiece!

As a fan of Christmas Carol stories, but having a harsh hatred of Karens, I was curious going into this one how I was going to enjoy it. I really did overall! The cast had a lot of fun with it, and it's a very modern take on the classic tale. It had quite a few laugh out loud sequences while also tugging at the heartstrings at the right moments. It really completes the gambit of an emotional rollercoaster, all wrapped up in a Christmas bow. I think this will definitely fair better with an older audience, who might be exhausted at the amount of Carol options on streaming. But for sure, there are a lot of "Karens" out there who could take a lesson from this one!

This was actually a really good film. Admittedly I went into it expecting the "Karen" gimmick to be overdone and uninspired but I came away from this movie totally pleased. The dialogue was extremely funny most of the time and not really corny (which this could have easily leaned into). Don't get me wrong, it definitely has some silly moments but they were fine. It was a jaunty spin on the old "Scrooge" plot. Obviously we have all seen that done to death but this included some very fresh and contemporary spins on it. The actors did a great job and I recommend this for a fun Christmas watch. Not to mention it's pleasing to watch a Karen get her comeuppance!

My wife put this on and I thought "You're kidding, if I want to see Karens being a pain in society's collective butt I'll watch Youtube videos and save myself the time." As I figured, it started with the Karen we all know and want to slap until we pass out from the effort but don't because you don't know which ones have lawyers. The scenarios could have been (and probably were ) taken directly from the app mentioned earlier. I decided to let it ride and watch a few minutes then go back to my video watching. As the Christmas Carol part kicked in I thought this wasn't half bad and as it rolled on I began to enjoy the humor and the different telling of a familiar story line. So, relax and let the story play out. It's just a bit of fun after all.

I turned this on for some background noise while wrapping gifts and found myself paying more attention than I realized. It's a bit Cheesy, but no more than most other Christmas movies. As many times as "a Christmas carol" has been redon, this one isn't half bad. I find the Karen trope hilarious and this was actually a really funny story to use it in. The same message is there, but scrooge is an entitled middle aged white lady with a bob haircut. She does all the stereotypical Karen things... asking for the manager, tormenting kids being kids, spouting racist and homophobic slurs... and is visited by 3 ghosts who take her on a journey to see how she really affects others. The actors are surprisingly good. The characters are funny. It just a fun silly movie with some holiday spirit. A good modernized retelling of a familiar Christmas tale. It's not going to be anyone's new family tradition but it's cute and worth a watch!

This movie was incredible. I stumbled across this movie one night when I couldn't sleep, and didn't know what to expect. The main character, Karen, was depicted very well and it was funny to watch on screen. Such a modern and creative spin on a traditional Christmas movie classic. The acting was great, and the messages were heartfelt and hit deep. There were many messages in this film that could be major teaching lessons, only if the viewers are open to receive them. The only people that i'm sure rated this film poorly, are in fact Karens and/or Karen adjacent. This film showed the power of kindness and forgiveness, which is always a positive.

Initially, I assumed this wouldn't be funny, but I was entirely wrong! This movie is a riot!!! Culturally it is very intune to the times. I feel like anyone who gave a bad review are themselves a Karen. Even what they've written is Karenesque in Karen voice. ROFL.
