Started off promising. But got really daft after about 15 minutes. It's a shame really, because it could of been so much better. The cast were a bit of a mixed bag, but maybe it works. Biggest problem for me was the lead actor didn't have 'lead actor' presence...and almost everyone else in the movie outshone him.

The story felt like something I could get into. Rob/Matt was likeable enough but by the bar scene when he confronts his neighbor, I just wanted to turn it off. I know they tried, they REALLY tried! But this movie was pretty bad, not even the jokes were funny. Easy story to follow with 2 interesting characters but that was it! If I could unsee a movie it would be this one.

Some people should stop making movies and use that money and time for something else. The story had some potential, but they drove it into the ground struggling to fill 90 minutes with poor acting and directing.

I started watching the movie because the plot seemed to be interesting but then after 15 min. I started to skip forward and kept skipping forward till the end. I can't believe someone read the script and thought it was a good idea to make a movie out of it. The storyline was so predictable and boring that it hurt my brain. The acting was horrible and the movie is a complete waste of resources. The casting department must have had casted the wrong people for that movie on purpose but on the other hand, even Hollywood Stars could not have made this script a 3 Star rated movie in my opinion. I give 2 Stars because i've seen worse movies lately but i don't recommend watching this to anybody. Better watch a good movie a second time or read a book if you watched every movie ever made already.

Rob Smart (Ian Niles) was informed by the father (Patrick Kilpatrick) of his girlfriend (Melanie Chandra) to break up with her that he is too poor and not good enough for her. She is clearly out of his league. He somehow borrows four million dollars from Big Sally (Catherine Curtin) crime boss to buy a mansion to impress his girlfriend and her dad, which it does. However, Big Sally changes her mind as her daughter (Jordan Lane Price) wants to go to art school in Paris. Meanwhile, Rob meets a neighbor (Peter Reznikoff) who is an accountant. He claims the previous owner wanted him to hide his money, but the accountant would not do it so he hide millions somewhere in the house in the walls as he was always putting up sheet-rock. Rob finds two strangers under stranger circumstances to help him look for the money. Things go from bad to worse. The story was different and on the quirky side. I loved the supporting cast of characters. Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

Never having heard about this 2022 comedy titled "Lie Hard" before stumbling upon it by random chance. And with it being a movie that I hadn't already seen, of course I opted to sit down and watch what writers Harrison Feuer and Ian Niles had to offer. While "Lie Hard" was watchable for what it turned out to be, then the writers didn't manage to put together a particularly outstanding movie. "Lie Hard" starts out nicely enough, but then starts to stagger and lose its momentum about halfway through. Sure, the movie can be watched, but you're not in for a particularly groundbreaking comedy. Nor a comedy that actually have any laughs to it. The acting performances in "Lie Hard" were adequate enough. I wasn't familiar with anyone on the cast list, and I found it a shame that the actors and actresses didn't have more solid material to work with, because there was much potential wasted here. "Lie Hard" is the type of movie where you have the writer, the director and the leading actor to be one and the same man; Ian Niles. So yeah, there was that aspect to the movie as well. I mentioned that there were no laughs in "Lie Hard", and I kid you not. While I managed to sit through the entire movie, then I wasn't brought to laughter even once throughout the 89 minutes that the movie ran for. Watchable for what it was, but don't expect anything grand from director Ian Niles. This is not a movie that I will be returning to watch a second time, nor is it a movie that I would recommend for comedy fans in general. My rating of "Lie Hard" lands on a generous four out of ten stars.

We could see what they were trying to do here, because the scenes were all pretty much cliché, but it just didn't work. The script was pretty bad to begin with and the lead is an overactor, but the worst part of this movie is the editing; the timing is way off on parts that might have worked if not for the painfully long inappropriate pauses. Not recommended.
